Over the summer, RivloTools moved from a long-standing idea to a fully formed product suite — complete with a new brand, a new website, and the first set of tools ready for the Umbraco community.

RivloTools exists for a simple reason: Umbraco developers, editors, and digital teams deserve tools that make everyday work faster, cleaner, and more enjoyable.

That sounds like sales patter I know, but many of us rebuild the same components, utilities, and workflows over and over again. RivloTools is about fixing that — creating reliable, editor-friendly packages that “just work” and help teams focus on the meaningful parts of their projects.

What We Built This Summer

Behind the scenes, a lot has come together:

It’s been a hectic few months, but we’re now in a position where RivloTools can grow with confidence.

Current Products

Here’s what’s available today:

Friendly Media — Full Release

A faster way to explore and work with the Umbraco media library. Search, filters, badge tagging, friendly URLs, CSV exports, delete prevention — all designed to help teams handle media with confidence and clarity.

Rivlo Licensing — Full Release

A solid, consistent licensing foundation used across all RivloTools products. Supports domain-based licences, version targeting, trials, encrypted payloads, UI integration, and more.

Friendly Members — Full Release

A streamlined dashboard for managing Umbraco members. Cleaner searching, sorting, viewing, and editing — built to help teams handle membership-heavy sites with less friction.

Content Migration Manager — Public Beta

A flexible import/export engine for Umbraco content. Ideal for editors, integrators, and developers who need to move content between environments or automate migration tasks. Available as a pre-release for people who want to try it early.

Content Exporter – Umbraco 8 — Public Beta

A simple, practical way to export content from Umbraco 8 sites. Created to support long-running projects and migrations, especially when moving toward newer Umbraco versions.

Documentation

Documentation is already available for:

Guides for Friendly Members and Content Migration Manager will follow soon.

We’re aiming for documentation that’s clear, friendly, and genuinely useful — covering installation, configuration, practical examples, and version-specific notes where relevant.

What We’re Working On Next

A few areas are currently in active development:

There’s plenty on the roadmap, and we’ll share more as new features and tools become available.

Join Us on the Journey

RivloTools is still young, but it’s built on years of hands-on Umbraco experience and a real desire to make the platform even better for the people who use it every day.

If you’re working with any of the tools - or thinking about trying them - we’d love to hear from you. Your feedback shapes the roadmap, and helps us build tools that genuinely improve the Umbraco experience.
